Our Team

We have unrivalled skills and experience within our team to deliver aquaculture projects, and to ensure that they are completed on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

Director and Senior Consultant Greg Riddle heads up the project team, and leads on project delivery and aquaculture technology, including design, procurement and construction phases. Greg comes from a strong background in managing large teams delivering construction and engineering works as well as contractual and financial performance of these projects.

Since founding Northern Light Consulting in 2013, the business has grown year-on-year and delivered many aquaculture projects, working for farmers, their supply chain and other stakeholders. These range from developing new products to managing the design and construction of the largest and most complex aquaculture facility in the UK.

Director and Senior Consultant Sarah Riddle leads the business consultancy team, and brings over 24 years’ experience in senior commercial, sales and operational roles, gained with leading aquaculture companies, fish processors (dedicated to retail), manufacturers and wholesalers.

Sarah has in-depth knowledge of industry practice and processes up and down the entire value chain, and of new innovations in the sector, as well as extensive industry contacts. Before joining Northern Light Consulting in 2015, Sarah worked in various senior commercial and sales positions within the aquaculture industry and before that within the food production and processing sector.

Alongside her work for Northern Light Consulting, Sarah is currently Business Engagement Director for the Scottish Aquaculture Innovation Centre. She is also an ISO9001 Lead Auditor. Sarah visits many different aquaculture and fish processing facilities across the value chain in Scotland, Norway, Iceland and the Faroes, and is up-to-date with best farming practice, innovation and processing methods.
