Monthly Update!

It has been a busy June at Northern Light Consulting with the team visiting locations from Kinlochleven to Kishorn to Kinloch in the Isle of Rum !

This month also seen the much anticipated opening of the next round of Marine Fund Scotland applications. A hugely competitive fund we have been grateful to support our clients in bid writing and fund management over the last 5 years totalling almost £1m in funding. We look forward to supporting our clients with this next round of exciting projects and fingers crossed for a successful funding round!

As always if you have a project you think may be eligible please do get in touch!

This month, Greig also had the pleasure of joining members of the BAM team to support their ‘Bridges to School’ project as part of Kinlochleven school's STEM day. It was a valuable opportunity to contribute to an initiative that introduces young students to principles of engineering and the world of work. The activity encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity, and it was rewarding to see the students engage so enthusiastically. We are grateful to support and be involved in programmes that help to inspire and inform the next generation about potential career pathways engineering.

We also were excited to join the West Highland Chamber of Commerce recent visit to Kishorn Port. At this exciting time for Kishorn, following the significant investment from Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE). We were delighted to hear about their expansion of the dry dock and land reclamation, and plans to increase capacity to support a diverse range of industries, including the burgeoning floating offshore wind sector.

This month we also commenced work on our next Local Place Plan, commencing with a visit to the beautiful Isle of Rum – a day in which the sun really did show off the Small Isles beauty!
